A media player for playback on Windows or portable devices.
The Core Pocket Media Player (also just known as TCPMP) is a small and flexible video player which was designed to be used on portable devices such as PocketPC and Windows CE. Of course, it can also be run on Windows 8.
TCPMP is a portable application which means installation is not necessary. You can run the program from any location such as your hard drive or a USB memory stick.
This video player supports a few different video playback formats but unfortunately, some had to be left out supposedly because of license restrictions. A video codec pack does not rectify this.
The user interface of TCPMP is quite simple and included a few different options from the menu including things like aspect ratio, zoom, playback speed, orientation and others.
Media files may be opened from the "File" menu item and volume controls are slightly to the right of that, along with other playback commands like Play, Fast Forward and Stop.
Unfortunately during our tests, playback of video files was rather sluggish.
Overall, TCPMP is a small video player and can be used on older systems, modern Windows or portable devices that are capable of running win32 executables.
